The pitfalls of dating outside the marriage, or what is called ’married dating,’ are various and many. Rumors seem always persistent amongst our married friends and family. The ‘why’ of these affairs can be many and cover vast regions of problematic married life. And it seems once the first adulterous step is taken, future affairs are certain and more easily vanquishable. A multitude of women, single or married, are either willing, or have had an affair with a married man. Though they would never admit to such an affair because of the stigmatization, many women find the married man an intriguing endeavour.

Men, more often than not, are easily seduced, giving the seducing woman an advantage as she continues her nefarious pursuit. These women enjoy the idea of pursuing a relationship with a man who is considered unattainable. Rebellion against societal demands only adds to the thrill of the chase. Enjoying their position as ’the other woman,’ this feeling of sexiness makes them feel more wanted or appreciated than they are in their married relationship.

When the husband fails to perform his husbandly duties, the wife will sometimes look to another man to perform those duties in his stead.

Men and women share the same sexual urges and desires. When her husband does not perform as sexually vibrant or energetic as he once did, she may stray from the marriage to seek these desires at the hands of another.

3. Sex and Money. 

Sex and its connection to money, many times are so interconnected in a marriage, that when the two are sufficiently presented, the marriage remains intact. However, when one or the other is missing, many times it puts the marriage into crises. While this may be a seemingly weak reason for infidelity, it all the same has caused many marriages to fail.

The number one reason given by men for their infidelity is simply sexual variety. Some in the scientific community believe it is in a mans genetic makeup to be with different women. After thousands of generations, it is claimed, this has forged in the male brain, the desire for sexual variety.

2. It’s the thrill. 

Most men who have affairs love the danger and the excitement. They find themselves compelled to replace old routines with something new. Men will sometimes continue affairs for years simply for this reason alone.

3. Availability. 

Many men who work long hours will sometimes find the convenience of sex at the office simply irresistible. Many marriages have been damaged or outright destroyed by this type of infidelity. Believe it or not, many have found co-workers on online dating sites or other social sites that, though married, are willing to carryon an office affair.
